I love to draw and paint outdoors, taking my inspiration from what is directly before me. Through teaching watercolour painting on cruise ships, I have been able to visit many interesting countries and I try to sketch in each place that I visit. It is so much better than taking photographs, while sketching, I will feel something of the atmosphere, feel the wind in my face and hear the sounds of life in that particular place. The memory of the place becomes imprinted in my memory banks.
